I’ve been busy recently prepping for a youth screen print workshop that I’m delivering next week. I did some research on Pintrest and found a cheap and easy method to do small scale designs using embroidery hoops and Speedball’s two part screen printing kit. Can’t wait to put the block out fluid on today and do some test printing, these designs are for t-shirts.
Injalak Inaugral Internal Photographic Competition 2014 LAUNCH
Flick has set our team a challenge, take a photo everyday and post it somewhere.
I have decided to start sharing my sunrise/sunset obsession….I have been photographing Nimbabeer (a sandstone outlier surrounded by floodplain) and various atmospheric conditions since October 2012 when I started at Injalak Arts In Gunbalanya, NT. This pic was taken around 6.20am this morning, absolutely love the colours and the drama of these clouds.
Thanks to all the beautiful people who came along to our opening last Friday (26th April) – it was a huge success! Our show is on until the 12th May so please come long and check it out, we will be looking after the gallery on the weekends so come in and say hello!

Another bathroom portait…this one in the afternoon.
This image was created using a photo of myself seated on a small stool, I have used Photoshop to create the composition.
I love the contrast between the greens and purples in this image, it was taken early in the morning. The sun had just come up over the escarpment. I also love the elongation of my figure, I could be four metres tall!
This photo took about twenty tries to get the angle of reflection correct without the camera in the image…it’s not as successful as I hoped.

I got back from a very long road trip and painted this portrait – in retrospect I feel that I may been a little depressed about coming back to the real world. It is quite a dark self portrait, my recent work has been much lighter.
This piece was done about two years ago for a uni project and I have not shared it until now. It was done in a hotel room and is life sized, I had the paper stuck onto one of those mirrored wardrobes and was drawing with a brush stuck to the end of a long metal ruler!
